Oops, I thought a ring car could bring $1.2 in Summer 2021 This one brought $1.6 https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/mo21/monterey/lots/r0030-2012-lexus-lfa-nuerburgring-package/1106413
I wrote that article. Four years later, I am even more in love with my LFA than I was back then. Every drive is more magical than the last and the car has been utterly reliable. It is truly astounding what Lexus achieved with the LFA; to me, it's almost not even a car, but something else entirely.
This just in: Last new LFA in Australia officially now "sold." https://www.clublexus.com/articles/last-new-lexus-lfa-in-australia-was-finally-sold-this-june/?utm_source=2023721&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=content
The LFA was a given, always going to increase in value. Looked for one on many occasions and bid on a couple but always just missing out. Will it go up more. I think the rise in value may stall for awhile now.

Very informative LFA video about its development and technology. Video Quote: The engineering in this thing is "nuts."
It's funny that the idea of the LFA as a 'failure' still floats around, it did struggle to sell when new but so did the McLaren F1, Porsche 918 Spyder, Carrera GT, even the Ferrari F50 was not well received compared to the F40 before it. The investment that Toyota/Lexus put into the LFA is probably one of their best investments ever, imagine explaining to someone 15 years ago that a Lexus would be part of the conversation of best sounding supercar of all time and the most collectible modern supercars, bringing the brand name into association with the likes of the most exotic cars in the world. That will surely drive sales of more pedestrian but sporty models for decades to comes, I know me personally I would love to own a Lexus LC500, IS500 or RCF with the big Yamaha tuned V8 partially because it has some definite shared LFA DNA in there. (To be clear, I know Jason's video is saying the car was not a failure, but the fact that said idea even still exists is a bit funny to me.)

The failure story board gets clicks I know my LC 500 Convertible would not be in my garage if not for the LFA getting produced The investment topic does lead to debate Many of us feel that the money allocated to the LFA could have improved the Lexus lineup Especially in the area of engine development The 3.5 V6 was relied on for too long The current LS with the TT V6 is not perceived well They let the GS sit with little upgrades and then canned it Their current e car line up would be the weakest in sight if not for Acura
Steel Gray's a sweet finish on the LFA. What was involved in the carbon door upgrade? Are the parts / kit available through dealership network?

I was lucky to be at launch party in Dallas. I think they pulled the Carol Shelby trick. When this car was in the states, I think it was white, black or yellow during its tour in the US. My car vids
