Georgia collector Roy Mallady pictured with both of his LFAs. The car on the left is LFA #003 finished in Metallic Silver (1F2) over Red, the first LFA imported to the USA. The car on the right is LFA #499 finished in Steel Gray (9H9) over Red (and with a special order exposed carbon fiber roof), the last LFA imported to the USA. Good taste, and a very special pairing!

In total, 177 other Lexus LFAs came to the United States in between these two cars, for a total of 179.

Here is a nice VIN based registry, although could use more info on each car: http://gtr-registry.com/en-lexus-lfa.php

One was reportedly produced in this color, but I don't think any public images exist. There is another pink LFA floating around, but it's a vinyl wrap.

As far as we can tell, the only colors offered but never produced were:

    - Aqua (9K0)
    - Lavender (9J9)
    - Lime Green (9J6)
    - Moss Green (9K2)

10 standard colors were offered and 20 optional colors. All of the above were under the "optional" list.

Overall, there are LFAs in 26 different exterior colors out there, with tons of variation in interior, wheel finish, brake caliper finish, and more. I think it's safe to say no two are alike!

Thanks Sterling for this informative thread. Learn lots about the LFA. I remember when this car debut, I was thinking what a technological wonder, but the price and lack of inspiring beauty had me disappointed. I think now I appreciate that car for which it is even more. I also believe the value is only going to appreciate. The thing that Japanese automotive industry does well is improve and better an existing product, I love that they are detail oriented, and purposeful. That is no different with the LFA, nor with other Japanese product ie. NSX. I own a Na1 NSX and love that car and have kept it when all the nonsayers said it's underpowered, has no soul, dated with the flip up lights.... But everyone that has driven it knows it's special and one day I would love to have driven a LFA!

    Glad you have enjoyed it!

Speaking of the Japanese way of consistent improvement (it actually has a word in Japanese: "kaizen"), Lexus has been spotted at the Nurburgring recently testing some sort of widebody LFA. Perhaps there is a future for the car, or a replacement in the works.

Sterling, we recently had one of Toyota's LFAs out at Supercar Showcase here in Dallas. The car has some knicks in the paint on the front bumper, the shield around the exhaust is a bit warped at the top, and its emblems have been repainted black. The LFA lettering is further apart than normal as a result. The interior has definitely seen heavy use as well. I'm told this is an early pre-production car they've kept, but no one seems to know its back story.

Hmm, it could be LFA #P014 (prototypes had the "P" before their badge number and are outside of the normal 500 car range), which had over 40,000 miles already as of 2014. There were a number of essentially production-level prototypes brought to the USA for press duties and otherwise. There was another yellow prototype that I recall that was later repainted in various different colors as it carried out its duties.

LFA flyby at the Nurburgring. I don't think a better sound can be emitted from a car than this...

    That was beyond awesome! BUT...
