None have been delivered yet. Im sure you will find a few willing to sell their cars for a huge premium. Last i heard was MSRP + $1m but that was back in June. Several members on here getting one.
Really. Fact about which part? The $1m premium is from an owner. I will let the future owners decide if they want to be named or not. But without even looking I know at least of 6 members who confirmed they are getting one.
I can confirm that a number of my clients are getting one, this based on Ferrari SpA confirmation letters that they have received as a result of very substantial deposits they have already placed with Ferrari SpA. Its worth noting that they were invited to purchase the LF, "invited" being the operative word. As regards the secondary market, lets wait and see, because Ferrari have a stringent procedure in place to ensure that the cars are going to people who have proven in the past to have little interest in turning their Supercars for a profit. Best,
From what I have been made to understand by Ferrari themselves, that is unlikely unless multiple members of the same family are getting cars. Having said that, we all know anything is possible.
Here are the answers, at least here in the US: Yes. Customer cars will not be delivered in the US until at least spring(summer more likely) of 2014. The base price here, which includes some 'no cost options' is $1.45M.
The number I have been told by several principals getting the cars is $1.375m, but, I have not verified this.
Interesting. I was given this number a while back (before August) the number was given to me by the owner of a dealership here. I would be surprised if that number went 'down'. Side note: Great job on the 288 book, I've just recently received my copy and I love it.
There were several scenarios that would get you invited. Being a Corse Clienti was one ( F1/XX/FXX..). Then what heard was that you would need to currently own 5 Ferraris with at least one of the supercars among the 5. You also need to have purchased 2 new Ferraris in the past 2 or 3 years (I heard different things) without flipping them and finally be known by your dealer as an active Ferrari enthusiast (No real definition were given to me..i assume be active in the club and have some miles on each of these Ferraris..).
my friend with all the cars is getting one. i bet he wish he knew you could buy one without the hybrid part coz he dislikes that aspect.
Yes but I was told something different than that even. And I asked multiple times to multiple sources. Again, it goes back to Ferrari knowing who they want to have cars and moving the target according to their wishes. I don't have a problem with that - it's their companies and their cars - but it would be naive to think that you absolutely get one if you follow any set of specific rules they set forth. I certainly think that there are some hard and fast parameters (you mentioned one) but honestly, Ferrari is choosing the guidelines they like to pick and choose. And again, I don't see a problem with that. It's their company and they get to choose. From a client's perspective, you have to play the game right if you're going to succeed.
That's great. I wonder if they will update the engine (ecu) to perform more HP because of the absence of hybrid system.
Unless you were invited by Ferrari, it's unlikely you can buy one new. I guess if you are the pope or Ross Brawn you can talk them into building an extra one. Your best bet is to find an original owner willing to sell, most likely at a huge premium.
There is more than one available from people with build slots that are looking to flip their cars, at a HEAVY premium. However, unless you're willing to make some LARGE purchases from Ferrari directly very soon, you're going to need to look at the 'second hand' market.
