I see on Lake Forest Sports Cars site that they are having their annual concours at Brookwood Farms in Lake Forest. Could someone please let me know where this is exactly? It is scheduled for Sept. 11th.

    Thank you.

Been there a couple of times. Just like any other concours, cars are grouped in classes and being judged. Class winners get some nice trophies.

Dunno about LFSC's plans this year, but normally it is a nice event and they have hand outs to the participants (once it was a plaque for everybody, last time it was a T-shirt).

  7. Can everyone attend the event, or?

I would think so: It's not a FCA or FOC event and I'm sure LFSC doesn't restrict it to its customer base.

Also in the past their concours were free, so what reason is there not to participate?

I just checked their website, they've updated it since last week when I looked. It looks like they are having it in harmony with some High society horse jumping thing. If anyone knows if there would be a fee to see the cars let me know. Don't need to pay $70 or something for me and my wife to look at some nice cars and horses. I wouldn't find it a waste as much as my wife would. Heck, I'll spend almost that much in gas to go down there! I can't imagine it being free seeing how that horse thing is going on at the same time, but I don't know.

I have been to LFSC Concours' in the past and they have been a great time. Since this years event will be combined with a horse jump event, does anyone know if the event is open to the public? If so, is there a charge for the jump event?

Here is a copy of an e-mail I got fromLFSC about the event. I'm bringing my 6 year old daughter, whose life currently revolves around horses. BTW, there is no mention of a fee.

    Mike,

Thanks for the quick response. Sundays event will feature a look at what it
takes to prepare show horses for grand prix type events. We have brought in
an international rider who is going to instruct riders and give a clinic.
There will be lots of horses and ponies there. The concourse will take
place at Brookwood farm and we can give your daughter a tour so she can see
all the horses if she likes. Will you be joining us for the Cocktail party
on Saturday evening Sept.10th? If you could give us a head count for
    Sat/Sunday that would be
great! Looking forward to seeing you there.

    Best regards,
    Cassie Mancuso

    Mike,

I bet your wife will take a lot of pictures. Please ask her whether she can get some with Ferrari(s) and horse(s) in the background. That'd be a cool shot.

Who is all going to the Horse Jumping/Car Show deal that LFSC is doing?
I think I'm going to head up there because Jr. is into horses so I think he would dig it.
I think Mike Z said he was going to check it out. Anyone else?
We gotta get the horse on two legs in front of an F-car money shot!

    Thanks!

    Vince.
