I have been looking at their website for a couple of months now, seems like their car selection really hasn't changed in a very long time. A couple of years ago they had 308's, testarossa's, boxers, etc. Now, zilch. I believe they have had the same 348 listed for a while.

Whats going on??? Is the turnover really that slow??? Where are all the 308's, boxers, etc in the midwest?

I do not think they want "entry level" Ferrari's (308's). Not much profit margin.

LFSC doesn't seem to be big into the older cars. But they got plenty of F430s and 599s moving through there. Whenever I go in, it seems like new cars are being delivered.

    hello,

considering you can't even get on their "waiting list" for certain cars they sell, i don't think it's a matter of turnover. they have a long list of loyal clientel who trade in their previously purchased ferrari on their next ferrari. this may explain why they don't have a inventory of 308's and 512 BBi's. the 308 crowd traded in their cars on new 328's. the berlinetta boxer owners are keeping their's as those models appear to increase in value.

if you use the search thread, you'll see a few local f-chatters looked over the '92 348 and concluded it had a few cosmetic blemishes. car appears to have been sold. plus i wouldn't judge any exotic car dealer solely on their website's updated inventory. i believe they are focusing more on internet search engines such as www.cars.com or google to advertise their inventories. BTW, Jim@LFSC is an occasional contributer on f-chat. i'm sure he'll be PM'ing you soon.

    Hello all,

    To answer your question.

There have been some lapses with our older model cars, such as the mentioned 308, 348, and even the Testarossa. The last couple of years we have noticed our sales have been stronger with the late model cars such as really nice 355's, late VIN 360's, new 430's, 599's, and 612's. With that being said we have been working hard hunting down QUALITY used cars for our sales floor, the hard part about doing this is that we need to have the top notch vehicle and nothing else. These cars are becoming hard to find do to customers not being able to reach the prices of the new Ferrari market, so our turn over is different. These quality cars are staying in the hands of owners, and being driven or being sold in the private used market. For a long time we consigned cars for our customers, we no longer do that. We own everything on our floor and are working towards building a "dream inventory" of used Ferrari. Everything from Vintage 330's, Daytona's and freshly serviced 80's and 90's models. Pristine, quality examples of Ferrari’s like 512BB's, Testarossa, 308's, 348's and Mondial’s will be showing up at LFSC very soon.

P.S. This is not mentioning cars that do not hit the floor or internet, due to a salesman already having a buyer for a certain traded vehicle. Our online inventory is updated weekly, and we try and keep it as accurate as possible.

If F-chat has any other questions about us, please ask me. I am happy to talk shop all day.

On a side note, we are working towards opening a car club/storage facility before winter. We will be storing any type of motor vehicle and we will have tiered pricing and availability soon! I will post more on that in the near future...

    Thanks,

    -Jim
