I am thinking about putting in a order for a 430.What do you guys know about them taking orders for the 430(wait time, deposit amount etc)
I grew up in Chicago and still have a residence there but I have not been back for a while.

Both dealerships get a decent allocation of cars from FNA, but I'd guess you'll be facing about the same wait at either place. You don't seem to have any of the criteria needed to jump the line- repeat customer for example.

It might be worth your time to give each of them a call and see what they say (hopefully they don't have caller ID, so they won't know your calling from Arizona). Both dealerships are well respected on this board with not a lot of BS.

I plan on being in Chicago next week and will probably stop by both places.I was just wondering if anyone here has put deposits down at either dealership and what the story was.

In the future I would like to keep the 430 at my Chicago home so I have a F car to drive when I'm there.

from my understanding, Ferrari dictates you order from the authorized dealer within your state, or a dealer closest to you that services your area.

Since he has a residence in Chicago, this shouldn't be a problem.

We, here at the Chicago section of Ferrarichat, have declared that EVERY AND ALL F430s sold at our 2 dealers remain in the Chicago area, and that they participate in all our local events!

HeeHee! I am going to be doing that soon, too. I can't stand Winter anymore. All of my Family, originally from Chicago, have Moved out to Phoenix,Scottsdale,PV,since 1975. The last ones,2 of my Brothers, went out there about 13 years ago.

I go out there to visit frequently, and love it out there. But,cannot move out there Full Time for a few Years. (Due to my Kids, and my Wife's Elderly parents.) So,I am looking for a place,in the next few months, out there,so that I can get out there more often, and longer. Airfare is super Cheap. But,we always,(well,my Wife and Daughter) have to bring a bunch of Luggage. Pain in the ...(we usually stay for 2 weeks at a time) Get a Hotel,(We are also on Vacation,so,we refuse any of our Relatives offers to stay with them...) ) A Rental Car.....

This way,we'll have the place. Keep a car or 2, (One will also be a Ferrari. 1 here,1 there.) And,have Clothes and stuff there,so all we need to do is bring 1 carry on each. Then, take a car to our place. Much easier.

Plus, get some great BBQ from Alice...:)

    Steve,
i purchased my 360 from LFSC, for many reasons. i'm sure there are many customers who have great things to say about Continental but my experience was the fact that they always acted arrogant on repeated occasions. not to mention, they required a $10,000 deposit to just be on the "list". LFSC has a more family like atmosphere, they are astute and friendly. if you want my recommendation, see Tyler Dean at LFSC!
