LHD to RHD TR steering rack rebuilt?help...

    Hi guys..
    I'm really in trouble now.I'm facing some diffulties to obtain new RHD steering rack.Tried Ricambi and others on-line parts suppliers but still no joy!Anyways,LHD rack still available.I was thinking to 'swarp' 512tr rack on-but from the measurement that I was done,512 rack slighly longer than TR .The mounting points also are totally different.
    Question:does anyone experienced this and I was wondering, is it posible if the RHD rack main part is now worn, could I use the LHD shaft and gear in the main RHD body?
    Any comment and suggestion greatly appriciated!

    why not try to get the stock unit re-built ?

    chang,this is what i am trying to do now.Unfortunately,every inner parts were totally worn out.I'm trying now to get it rebuilt by replace every inside parts (but still use stock RHD rack housing).Ferrari UK has one in stock-but the price about the same like '98 Proton Wira.Hehe..Jon the luckiest man on earth.
