Hehe, I think every man and boy aged 4 up had a thing for Jo, only repeated with the gorgeous Jenna Coleman.

I haven’t seen the show you mention, and I’m sure I have missed some great ones, but I think on the whole, the average standard set by tv these days is far below what would have been accepted years ago.... they just don’t seem to make them like they used too. They focus so much on new technology and making the scenery ‘pop’ with CGI, that they forget to create great characters/plots. For me, I seem unable to really ‘buy into’ the programmes they make these days, even the comedy shows seem more political than entertaining

Me personally, I'd happily not have a TV and just stream and save the "TV Tax", but the missus overrules me. Other than as said above, the odd rarity such as Blue Planet, Spooks I liked etc, what the BBC puts out is parp! Morning news I can watch as I think Naga Munchetty is really good, evening news is far to left wing for me.

What annoys me the most is they try and directly compete with the other channels, and do so poorly, where they are not suppose to be competeing and are suppose to be promoting and doing different things...Blue Planet etc.

Be interesting to see where Liberty takes all this. There is such a generation divide on this now, I had ago at a company the other day that said; "just post your query on Twitter"...like I have a Twitter account/know how to use it or even care!!! What is wrong with a telephone and a person...!

Right, that feels better...rant over :)

What I hate is that the news reports on stories that surely no one gives a crap about! Take this morning, the NHS, who have no money apparently, DO have the money to set up a complaint and investigation into what adverts are run during some stupid reality show, an advert that advertises breast enlargement, claiming they have to protect the people watching the advert from getting upset that their boobs aren’t big enough, or they can’t afford bigger boobs, or that they might be upset if they are ugly...... who the **** cares? Report the news, don’t report on who wants to save us from ourselves..... bloody ridiculous

Yup, like when the BBC was airing the Bodyguard, which actually though was Ok. The coverage on the BBC news of the viewing numbers was tiresome to say the least, and even one of the news presenters made a snide remark about how ludicrous the coverage on news was! That made me laugh!

Still, at least we don't suffer the bombardment of adds our friends across the pond suffer.

Haha, true, but I think I’d rather see ads (especially breast enlargement ones) instead of our leftist news sometimes!

I get harangued almost every day to complete one survey or another from F1, will I go to races, do I watch practice, do I want a driver to grow a moustache for November (god knows why anyone would think this is relevant to f1, but they asked it). If I had any faith that they would read the comments and results, and do anything about it, it’s fine, but when we know they will only follow the ones that are already in the plans for Liberty to follow, then it’s a bit much.

Essentially, they need to realise that f1 fans want to see more video, photos and stories concerning f1. They want racing to be brought back to the sport, and for the rules to allow teams to develop and try to win. Till they understand it’s supposed to be a sport, and the pinnacle of its type, then they will continue to fail and get poor returns for their efforts. Maybe Bernie can get it back at a low price and put it straight again.

I tried the live timing app this past weekend at COTA. It worked okay, but I think my data got interrupted a bit to keep it from working better. A gal near me had bought use of the "F1 Vision" product which seemed to work very well, but of course she buried her face on the device and missed a lot of the action IMHO.

As for viewing races after the fact, the ESPN app seems to work very well but my preferred method is still DVR due to ease of use...can see frames during rwd and ffwd as opposed to frozen screen with time counter.

They’ve changed the live timing app recently, what a mess. No driver tracker for a start, which I used to like to use to track the pit stops and see who made it out in time, and the need to swipe to each section rather than one overall screen with pits, times, sectors, tyre life etc is hard to get used too.

Another improvement where none was necessary... Fail

Haven't tried the apps but the graphics and especially the added 'sound effects' and 'music' on the TV feed are extremely annoying. I think they think F1 is a video game.

The timing overlay on the TV feed seems to break regularly too.
