OK, I don't know if this belongs here or in another sub forum, but here goes....

I'm not a fan of license plate frames. I think they're a bit fussy, but that's just me. But most of the license plate attachment hardware isn't particularly attractive....car logos, checkered flags, skull and crossbones.....you get the idea. Plain old nuts, bolts and washers beats any of that stuff.

Has anyone found a nice, simple solution to plate attachment that doesn't resemble a couple of carbuncles on the back of the car?

Another option: I bought a BMW real carbon fiber surround for my rear plate. No logo, very tasteful and minimalist. Comes with SS hardware and black hardware covers. Got it through Amazon.

I use stainless metric button head allens.

With any luck anyone inclined to liberate a plate didn't bring metric allen wrenches and a button head is difficult to grab with pliers. When possible I use nylocks on the back and if they are inaccessible it becomes very difficult to take.
