I am resurrecting a Euro GT and hate to fill in the holes for the square license plate frame and then drill new ones for the US frame. Has any one seen a tasteful way to display the rectangular US plate while using the Euro license plate holes?

Even though my car was delivered in Europe, I didn't want extra holes and so I filled in the Euro holes and fitted the US frame so that it was situated in the best possible location. I've never lost points at a concours for it and quite frankly, it looks very clean.

I made my own "frame" out of sheet aluminum, to engage the Euro holes, w/ new holes in the frame to conform to the US license plate. Came out fairly cosmetically nice. A good 1/2 day project, with various files and a drill press. Would go quicker w/ a metal-cutting band saw.

Roberts solution works best......that's what I have done when the original holes vary from the now standard plate pattern...

ProAm on Richmond carries some well made ones, wspeer....Griot's also offers several frame 'styles' and finishes...

    Which one???

Griot's Garage is a pretty well known mail order firm.

ProAm in Houston Texas handles high performance aftermarket lines on seats, shocks, wheels...stuff like that.

Good guy, often has stuff that you can't otherwise find. Located in the North East US, I think.

I agree with omgjon. I bought my license plate chrome surround from Bobileff last year. Excellent fit and finish.
