License plate light connector mounting poll

How does your license plate light connector mount?

  1. It is mounted on the plastic batchboard

  2. It is mounted on a metal flange next to the lock catch

    The Dino license plate light has its power routed across a connector in the trunk that is adjacent to the trunk latch and in looking at reproducing this part I've found two types of mounting; to the plastic batchboard or two a metal flange from the rear trunk edge.
    How does yours mount?

    72 gt and 74 gts sitting in the garage now both have them mounted to the plastic batchboard. the other 74 in the garage has it missing and that part of the batchboard is broken off, but it doesn't have the metal flange
