Does anyone know of the plastic covers come off? I’m replacing the lights and housings and need to replace or clean these quick connect female fittings.
Should I cut them off and replace?
    Where would I purchase these?

Since these are OEM parts, I would not remove them. Often the brass connector can be removed from the plastic housing with a flat blade or small screwdriver. If this doesn't work, clean the plastic with acetone and spray contact cleaner into tthe brass connectors.

Quite easily. There is a locking tang on the brass connector locking it in. Bend it back and the plastic will slip right off.

It may be better just to replace the connector and reuse the plastic.

I have replaced my plastic covers recently. There was not metal tab. The internal design of the plastic connector captures the outside edges of the spade connector as it is inserted. I end up cutting the plastic away and inserting a new one. I have purchased the connectors with wires from Fiat part sources and was able to remove the new connector from the female spade connector. I also purchased a good number of the plastic covers from Digikey.

Thank you guys, rifle, I got one plastic cover off but there was no metal tab sticking out. The housing did seem to lock around the outer edges of metal connector like guy above said.

I had to replace some of my connectors while I was preparing for judging for preservation class and doing an overall inspection of each component on my 308. I ended up getting Platinum. After removing the spare tire fiberglass cover, I noted the AC fan speed coil connectors were becoming loose and started burning the plastic connectors. I removed the torched plastic connectors, pressed down on the curved metal sides to make a tighter connection, installed new plastic connectors and pressed on male spades.

The plastic connectors are still made in Italy per my DigiKey order.

Replacement of the license plate connectors is very common. At this point in the cars life it has probably been done multiple times. Even when 308s were just a few years old were were pulling them on routine services to correct corrosion issues. The lamps and connectors both were a poor choice for the location.
