Yes. It is a seperate system. I'm assuming your K40 is radar only. The Lidatek withh detect/diffuse the laser blast for 5 seconds--ample time to slow down, even for the Viper--just kidding.

how much is it for installation? it seems like CC doesnt install Lidatek's so i need the one i bought already installed.

 

It is a four hour install for the 360 @ $95.00/hour. You would get an EC discount, of course.

 

Thanks for this Gus. What's the discount we are getting on a group buy. Ie, what's typically retail for this? Also, what are installation costs (for a 355)? Time to install.

Gus is selling these for $280!!! so a discount of $119.95!!!! great deal i would say

 

now my question is, can i just buy the unit for $280 without installation?
or the price is only good if technik1 installs it.

But with due respect, the part is at cost, and to get theses for under $300. it has to be a forum group buy of 50, and an exception at that. I would only make the labor costs, and I'm sure I'll get some flack from Lidatek as a dealer. The EC installed cost is $680.00 + tax. That, by the way, is what I charge the dealers who give me 5-figure business monthly.

i think if you want to pay $399 (for the 355) or $599 (for the 360)
direct from lidatek, do it. if you want it installed free for that price, go to
gus. very easy. gus is part of the ec crew and technik is a great shop no
questions, no ands, no buts.

Actually, Hub, CC offers Lidatek via us. In fact, we have a V1 mirror display with an LE-30 in the CC showroom. That's ours!
Ask Mayur.

There will be a similar display at Lambo BC next week. So, at our shop or CC, it's all the same.

so gus's $280 plus installation is for the F355 jammer only that has one sensor?

 

I meant that the MB & BMW forums got that price and they needed to buy 50 or so. I'm trying to work those numbers plus install with 15 or so EC family.

355/360 is $280.00 plus 4 hours @ $95./hr.--$660.00 + tax EC courtesy price.
That is for one front mounted sensor--we only need one in a small car.

Larger cars like the S Class, 7 series, and SUVs would benefit from two front laser eyes.

 

if the 360 only needs one sensor....where do u mount it? hopefully it's not undernearth the center of the front bumper where everyone can see it?

 

you definitely need 2 sensors for the 360, 1 for each air duct.
putting it in the center like what i have with the k40 laser jammer/detector
is fugly.
