ok yeah we all know the whole you should start wise and finish as an orgasm thing, and this has nothing to do with that amazing nugget of conventional wisdom...

so, as coincidence would have it, within a couple days of one another (possibly the same day) i will be changing jobs AND homes (keeping the gf and the car), and something that occurred to me whilst writing applications hither and thither was that on one hand, i'm applying to let someone pay me to do stuff for them, and on the other, i'm applying to let someone allow me to pay them to take care of their home.

i'm the perfect tenant, and get more results and increase productivity more than any employee ever should, in fact, most places i go to i can easily see where within a month or so i could reduce their staff by 1/4-1/3 just by enhancing their processes and implementing better systems. (or increase productivity i guess :p )

one wants me to do stuff that i wouldn't do without being paid, the other wants me to look after their place.... both like to get as many applications as possible and call everybody i know asking stuff about me (references), yet don't understand why i want to talk to their previous emploees and tenants to check them out, and get miffed when they tell me i've "been accepted" and i tell them i'm still weighing up my options.

why aren't these people applying to me?

you sissy, get her wet ........ until the trouble a couple of years ago I would have said the Ferrari is the safest car I had driven in the wet, but I have too many reminders that things can go horribly wrong in the blink of an eye.

I'm just lazy, it's harder to clean them after driving in the rain! Also, am building a stable for it at the moment, so it's not at home.

You were being very serious and philosophical in that first post Ash. Maybe you need a drink (of alcohol) to put things into proper perspective.

nah, now i'm going to focus on making the X as good as it can be (no, won't set fire to it :p )... needs another $10-15k on it, and will put the feelers out for a hawk stratos. i'll stay on the waiting list for the atom, but i don't see mine coming till mid-'08 at this rate. elise is the other in-the-meantime pissobolity....
