I just had to replace the Michelin Pilot Super Sports on my FF at a little over 12,000 miles. The fronts were down to the core, while the rears still had a little bit left. While this may be more miles than other brands (e.g. Pirellis), given the wear rating and what I have read elsewhere, I am surprised they did not last longer. I am wondering if it is the tires, or maybe the alignment or some other suspension related issue. What longevity experience have others had with these tires on the FF?

If it's any consolation my Bridgestone S001 rears are shot at 6K miles (though the fronts had a few K miles left). Am switching to PPS. I will be happy with 12K miles.

Yeah, I know that relative to most other similar performance tires I should be happy. I just thought they would last even longer. Nevertheless, I replaced them with the same tire. They are better in both performance and wear than any other tire I have had yet.

The brand is a factor but driving style weighs heavily on tire life..
With 650+ HP, foot pressure plays a big part!

I always have a 4 wheel suspension alignment done after replacing my tires. Not that expensive and prevents prematurely wearing $2K worth of tires, mounting and balancing.

I agree. I always do an alignment when replacing tire as well.
