Life would suck without...

yes, a variation on the other Life sucked before thread, but more along the lines of "what if you were gone before this..."

at the moment i'm keeping things light-hearted for my own sake, but sadly, the things that come foremost to mind are shallow entertainment. for instance, my Nana was a huge fan of soaps and serials with lots of controversy, in retrospect i enjoyed listening to her b!tch about the characters. a few weeks after she died, Melrose Place hit the screens. i ended up really liking that show way back when, just thinking my Nana would love it.

every now and then i think what would i have missed out on if i weren't "around" anymore, and the first things that i think i would miss are stupid TV shows and movies, and sometimes that can be enough to get you through, thinking of the next interesting deviation from reality.

Nip/Tuck, Scrubs, Apprentice, Family Guy, Buffy/Angel, Simpsons, Star Trek(s), American Gothic, X-Files, Alf, Family Ties........

sometimes the reason you stay at a party is because you wonder what you'll miss out on if you leave.

of course i have a "more substantial" list, but what else would it suck to have never known?
