Hans, That's the same basic 4 post lift seen almost everywhere. Lest you think it won't be somewhat nerve wracking let put your wondering to rest. IT WILL BE, but you will get somewhat used to it. The posts move around a bit as you raise and lower the car because the design is based upon having the feet on the columns adjust for floor irregularities as you raise and lower the car. Garage floors are rarely level if for no other reason than drainage issues. If you want to bolt it down you'll need the proper strength concrete floor and you'll have to shim the posts to get them all plumb not to mention square. A properly set-up lift like this used with normal caution is not going to be dangerous. That being said it still is a bit unnerving to have the car move around while up in the air when you push on it hard. It wobbles, but won't fall. I always ingest a good dose of fear and caution whenever I'm lifting something that's 3000+ lbs, then crawl or stand under it. I recommend it. Have fun. Bob S.
Wow, that's a new one! Who makes it? A link to their web site would be educational! Talk about needing to trust your anchor points!!!!
The lift is made by Bend Pak, here is the link: http://www.bendpak.com/cart_product_detail.php?prod_id=246&cat_id=48 It looks like they just updated their website with pics I sent of my installation. I was parking my Blazer under the 328 before the Charger. At the same time I had my garage door modified for a high lift and installed a Liftmater 3800 Jack Shaft opener (no center track for garage door). Gerry
