Hi, I'm about to add a lift for my F8. Wondering what lifts everyone is using and would recommend or not recommend. Looking for some advice from the experienced lift folks here. TIA. Dave Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
4 post Wildfire for me. Couldn’t make a single post work. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I am using two atlas lifts .. two different locations .. no issues .. can't compare to others since only know these At the time very cost effective ..
Adding a part 2 q, can anyone recommend a lift that also allows you to jack the car up to change wheels while car is on the lift?
The atlas has a sliding jacks ..ri35 The other way is to put quick jacks on a lift Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk
I’ve used a Bendpak HD9 (standard width model) for about 3 years - have been super happy with it. Fits the Speciale with ease - super solid.
I also have the Benpak HD9 for about 13 years now and am happy with it as well. I like that it is certified and that it has locks when you lower it into position for peace of mind. I did buy the aluminum entrance ramps that do not droop in the front which gives you plenty of clearance to park a car underneath it when it is raised. It does fit the Speciale with ease. I only wished it wasn't made in China.
Did lots of research. Came down to advantage or benpak. Went with advantage but either would have been great. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
You might want to take a look at some extended ramps. The ones you have are very small and it looks like you could bottom out when accessing or pulling off the platform. I would say my entrance ramps are about 20 inches long and it makes for a real gradual change of grade.
those actually came with the lift and they have a special lip that is engineered to fit into a locking mechanism that keeps them in place once weight is on them. they are easily 24 inches, i think more. no issues ever, just about every type of exotic so far and no scraping. sometimes i even forget to raise the vehicle front end lift and still no issues
Hi, yes I'm in Dallas. Not sure of the logistics to move and install so have not considered used. Which Bendpark? 220Motor? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
BendPak HD-9XW 90001b 4 post home lift-220v I had these guys install it https://mtfequipment.com/ I think they will drive up to dallas to install it.... I paid 8980$ and that includes the 1000$ install. I got the aluminum center plate and the 48" aluminum ramp I had the lift for less than a year, I got married and am moving to OKC Will be selling the house in Bellaire/Houston sometime in June 2819481657 - Ricky
Rotary 2-post asymmetrical works great and allows more room to open the doors when the cars on the lift. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Good point on the extended aluminum ramps… I have them as well and the extra length really helps with low clearance cars.
I went back and measured my ramps and they are 38" and I would highly recommend something like that for anyone with small ramps like the ones you have simply for safe keeping if nothing else.
Look into the race ramp ones specifically made for the lift you have ..they weight nothing Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk
my ramps are 36" and theres not one production car i can think of that will not make it up and down easily. and just about everything has been on there with zero issues. Lambos, Ferraris, Porsches, McLaren's, all of them, all the track focused low to the ground cars, no issues
I was super paranoid, I did the 48" aluminum ramps + the 5" Raceramps https://www.raceramps.com/ I had a very bad elevation on my driveway which necessitated the use of multiple ramps to get my super low cars into the garage and onto the ramp The biggest ******** is the street still floods....
I also went with Advantage. The allure of American made steel was simply too great. https://www.advantagelifts.com/products/wide-buddy-by-backyard-buddy
I went with the most impressive unit I could find... It's hydraulic and lacks cables. I have had bad experiences with cables so stuck with pure hydraulic. Plus, no cables going from side to side. I had a hard limit of 10' for the lift and that limited me to just a few choices. The Mohawk was pretty obvious. $10k all in (three years ago). I installed it myself with a minimum of hassle. With my 360 on the lift, I have a clear 6' under the car. Mohawk System 1A (10,000 lbs.) https://mohawklifts.com/automotive-lifts/2-post-lifts/system1/ Image Unavailable, Please Login
So I have a 4 post and a single post. Single frees up a lot of room but do have to be careful opening door closest to post and much more pricey. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I just had a single post installed. Easy to operate and opens up a lot of room in the garage with only one post.
