i was hoping someone out there might have a simple fix for my lighting problem?
when half lights are switched on my front (orange) indicator lights are on also main headlights are up (not lit) can anyone tell me how to stop main lights from lifting in this mode? I want the small indicators on but not the main beams lifted is this possible?

A semiannual question. Of the various 'modifications', the diode mod entails a permanent change to the wiring in the relay panel which bothers me and advocating it means someone is truly going to make a mess.

The relay modification adds a relay and 2 small innocuous holes for the on/off switches but no wiring modification. I removed the glove box (knee level left of steering wheel) to place 2 minature push button switches in the roof with the relay mounted above it. (then replaced it). Wiring connection to the car is 3 pushon connectors to the fuse panel which can be removed easily to restore originality. I went one stage further in electrically tying all 3 lights in the front (left and right) together, parking, turn and sidemarker. So when parking lights are one, all three lamps are illuminated. When turn or hazards are on, all three blink simultaneously.

Whatever you do, document the change for the next owner and place it with your service records.
