Everything was working just fine - but a couple days ago, the lights quit working.

Turn the knob; move the stalk, nothing - no lights on the front or back. Fuses; relays appear fine. (Have Birdman's fuse box.). Have swapped relays.

While running a trouble light, i noticed if i touch a green wire at the connector under the steering column, everything starts working. But only when the car is off. If the car is running, and i touch the wire, the lights go up/down - alternating left/right.

Everything else seems to be working.

Any thoughts on solving this problem?

Most likely something wrong with the rotating knob switch. When you rotate the rotating knob switch to "on" = it should close the ...006 relay (the only one with the "K" on it) = then the ...006 relay sends signals out to run the lamps. You can try just touching the ...006 relay with a fingertip while turning the rotating knob switch "on" to feel if it is actuating or not. Likewise, if you remove the ...006 relay and measure the voltage between the female 85 terminal in the relay socket and the female 86 terminal in the relay socket, it should go +12V when the rotating knob switch is "on" -- if not = justifies disassembling the rotating knob switch to investigate.

Thanks Steve. I don't feel anything at the relay when i turn the switch. I was speaking with Bill Evander at Maranello Motorworks in Denver. He suggested one of the solder joints inside the switch may have apart.

The switch was also the problem on my 308, which had just failed a few days ago - thanks!
