    Has anyone ver weighed the decklid of a 308? I remember when I replaced the struts and had to lift it without their assistance, it felt like it weighs a tonne. WHY?
    Has anyone ever come up with a lighter, proper looking replacement?

    Never lifted it on my 308gt4 but I know it's aluminium - would suspect it to be reasonably light. Must check some time - maybe an opportunity fro trimming some weight.

    I remember seeing a thread about carbon fiber engine covers & door panels here somewhere. Unfortunately they're on the continent as I recall.
