There used to be an after-market lightweight cover/sun shade for the spider (covered windshield and passenger compartment). Does anyone know where I can find a replacement? I think Ricambi used to carry them but doesn't seem to have any in stock.

Fchat member Hank Sound makes them.
Production ended a while ago but there are a lot of people asking for them. He may re-start production.
He (and I) hang out in the Mondial section.
I have one for my Mondial Cabriolet and I love it. Great product.

PM him, convince him there are a bunch of people interested and he may re-start production.

I too would be very interested in purchasing a lightweight Spider top. I hope that Hank is moved to restart production.

    I'm interested too.

I saw a pic of how it fitted on a GTS - rubber suction cups and all.
Not sure how it works on a spyder ?

What material does it use, just fabric like an outdoor car cover ?

I had a similar idea, as here in HK if the car is out in the sun all day, it can warp plastic in a day.

I was thinking to use a material like the foldout windscreen shades in order to block more of the sun/heat.

It is thin nylon, very light weight. The guy that made it is located in Florida .... If I remember right. He is a Dr first name starts with a C and ..... I was trying to remember how I found him. Think he had a post in the Ferrari Market Letter under misc for sale at the end of the classified section. I don't get the FML and was looking at a sample copy that had his e- mail address in it. I think he has them made when requested in red or yellow, said it is water resistant not waterproof, and works well to block sun when parked, and keeps curious eyes out of inside contents. Think is was a bit over $300 with shipping.

I visited the Mondial section and PMed Hank. If you've been thinking about it, you should do the same.
