Hey guys anybody passing route 44 in Millbrook on the way to Lime Rock on the 9th or 10th... If so contact me here, I'm opening up my bar to all Ferrari owners who happen to be passing thru. Free beer and wine~! Paul
Thanks bud... MY mistake...looking at the wrong month, I was testing the beer just to make sure it was good! Paul
William, saw you last year in your two 512 TRs, it was a fun time. Have you had the F40 on the track yet? See you on the 9th, Zach
I had it on the track once at Homestead but it had issues. In July I will be adding F50 brakes, new seats, a boost guage in the cockit & bigger intercoolers. I'd like to get an LM wing too & Tubi straight pipes Most importantly I have to get new wheels so I can mount slicks on it So July 8 & 9 if she goes on the track its just for a cruise, No track records in the F40 that weekend LOL
Will be there fri and sat, hoping to meet some fellow f-chatters. Does anybody know if theyre doing the parade lap on sat, last year was a blast if you hung back and waited for crowd to clear.. Is there a specific parking spot people have in mind?.
Soundguy - What's the name of your bar? I will be passing through Millbrook via Rt 44 in my Ferrari coming from (and returning to) Poughkepesie for the Ferrari Weekend at Lime Rock on 7/8. Thanks for the great offer.
I strongly encourage anyone who is a Ferrari fan in the tri-state area to make it to this event. It was my first time last year and I'll never forget it. Too bad it overlaps with a company getaway this year. I'm going for the ALMS race at LimeRock this weekend instead. FYI, the FCA-ESR is running a two-day track event at Lime Rock on July 29 and 30. Open to all Ferrari powered cars. I'll be there with my Mondi, there are several 308's going that I know of, a 355 spider. In addition, there will be a bunch of Challenge cars and other high-end cars being brought up by Classic Coach. Mufflers are required for the event. And for those who haven't driven on the track before or have not been to LRP with FCA-ESR, there is a drivers school with in-car instructors. Open cars require roll bars. So, don't sit around and be an on-looker. Join in. You don't need to have a Challenge car to have a heck of a lot of fun. Groups are divided based on times/power, so slower cars like mine don't end up in the mix with the Challenge cars and highly experienced drivers. But you do get a LOT of track time over two days, no matter which group you are in.
Hey Dave!! Just sent ya an email bout hitting LR next weekend for this. I think tix are $25 and having an F car doesn't get you in for free . I'm gonna roll up to this next weekend, shotgun seat is open if ya want it! Look forward to seeing everyone there !!! William H - Can you bring the slutmobile too??!! That car's got some serious mojo going on!!
up and coming fan....is that an oxy moron? ill be there this weekend, just undecided if it will be fri or sat.....a few of us that work for a bmw dealer are making the trek
Just did the drive this past weekend for the ALMS race and here is how I would do it from Long Island. 1. Whitestone Bridge to the Hutch. 2. The Hutch becomes 684 3. 684 Exit 9 to I-84 East towards Danbury. 4. Take the exit for Rt. 7 North (exit 7 I believe) This is where the fun begins. Rt. 7 North is a great winding road with little traffic. Stay on this for about 40 miles until you see the intersection for Rt. 112. This is Lime Rock road. Make a left and 1 mile later, the gate will be in sight. Drive safe and enjoy. -Pete
peter i realy don't want to take route 7 since i am not taking up the ferrari and that's where we got lost last year. is there any alternative route?
