Alas, have a COMSCC track day/time trial at NHIS Apil 9/10 so can't make it April 23/24 meet at Watkins Glenn perhaps?
I'm on the wait list for 4/7, but I am going on 3/24 if anyone is also lined up for that one lemme know...
I'm signed up for the 7th, will be driving the Z06. Life is not a spectator sport. Get out there and do it.
. Plan to get a large sticker for the tail door of my enclosed trailer so only when the door is closed -- am travelling or the trailer is parked and locked up -- it will say "JUST WAITING" Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Should be a great day. Tons of people going from all of the boards, & a decent amount of spectators.... JT, I expect some outrageous pics of our cars!!!!!!!!
nope. If you are not getting on the track you wont be able to get in. Its an insurance issue. Just cause you have a ferrari doesnt mean you get into places
Spectators are almost always welcome at LRP. There are a few "closed" events that limit spectators, or charge an admission fee, but these HPDEs are usually open to spectators. They may limit you on bringing your car down into the paddock area, and you may have to park up on top near the skid pad and upper level buildings. But that's not a bad thing. There is a great place to see a good segment of the track on that upper level, where you can see the cars go down the main straight, into Big Bend, through the Esses, and exit around onto the start of Noname Straight. It's up on the grassy knoll overlooking the paddock, around by where the Esses start. You can also walk down into the paddock area, wander around, go up in the observation tower, go to the snack bar if it's open, go to Driving Impressions and buy some souvenirs. And of course, you can take lots of pictures. It's a good idea to bring along some folding lawn chairs, some bottled water and snacks, and picnic lunch for that matter. p.s. If you are allowed to bring your car down into the paddock, try not to take spaces that the track cars will be using, mostly down the center of the paddock where it is fully paved. Park around the edges, in designated spots, or out on the grass, making sure you are not blocking anyone's trailer or where someone already has gear laid out.
Thats great news right there. Lime Rock is like my home away from home may-october. i know this event is a little different thats why i was asking, ive never been to one before...thanks for the info!
Its a PDA run event. So that might be why its not on the Lime Rock Website. http://www.pdadrivingschool.com/
