Wish I could make it for that event in March, but I'm going to be down in Houston that weekend. I'm sure I'll make it to some of the other events. The first one I have booked this year, so far, is the May event for FCA at Watkins Glen, May 2 & 3. Thinking about doing Trackmasters, the 4th and 5th too, but we'll see.

If you could PM me with some info on other tuners, that would be great. I've met the guys from ECS at some events and have had some extensive discussions with Doug about what would be worthwhile on the car. I like the car as it is now (I've done 1:02s and 1:03s at LRP on street tires, what's not to like?), but at the high HP tracks like Watkins and Pocono, another 40 or 50 hp would be nice.

I'll keep an eye on these threads about events and hopefully get a chance to share some track time with everyone.

    Regards,
    Steve

I'm down for LRP in March w/SCDA, but in the 944 not the Ferrari. Pure momentum (147hp on the best day of its life, which was loooong ago) but with an new - and killer - suspension and R-compound tires.

I had Dennis as an instructor last year and he is the bomb. He had me drive the Glen as if I were in a momentum car: top gear, no brakes. I had faster lap times than when I floored it! The. Best. Instructor.

I've decided to keep the Ferrari in the barn for a while. I'm having hella fun with the 944 and I know it won't kill or (worse) impoverish me. I've been signed off by PCA so ... DUCK!!

I'm planning on a very active season, mostly with the Porsche. See you all on track.

I am hitting it the first weekend in April. March is just too damn early for me.

LRP is booked. SCDA still is not accepting applications at this time. Check back on January 22nd.

Just one??? HPDE are like drugs, yoiu can't just do 1, so sign up for them all and let things fly :)

Some lousy lap videos of both tracks in a Ferrari 308 (lame driver, blame him for those slow laps) can be found at http://www.enjoythetrack.com/video

SCDA rocks btw. Ian Prout operates a VERY well organized and safe event.

Hey, thanks for the kind words! :)

Just so everyone knows, while the FCA International Meet at WGI on Labor Day weekend will be limited to Ferraris only, the May 2-day event at WGI is open to any club member, regardless of the car. So bring the 944!

    vty,

I'm kinda new to track day driving.......do any of you guys know about "Group52"? I understand that they do driver education events at Watkins Glen.
    Thanks.
