Couldn't find anything about this car, look at the plate where the "BB512i" should be Any info about this car? Or is it just an ordinary BBi? Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's a very rare Red BBi - only about 700 were produced. It's likely just a previous/current owner's "personalization" of an already unique car, although yet another stereotypical red one. Is this one down in Brasil? If you have the last 5 digits of the Serial Number, we may have info on this car on this site, or can add it to the list.
Well, just as i thought, thanks! Thats the second BBi that i know in Brazil, this one just arrived to the city of Belo Horizonte where we have about another 3 or 4 BB's (all red lol). 308's, 400i's, BB's and BBi's started turning 30 these last few years, so now they can be legaly imported here, as the dollar is pretty cheap for us now and ppl in my home city like classic cars every week or so a new one shows up. We now have about 4-5 400i (all black lol) and 10+ 308's I don't have the serial number, but where can i find it if i have the chance?
What's the market like in Brasil for Ferrari compared to Porsche right now? Is it better? I went to an exotic car dealership in Sao Paulo many years ago, and Porsches were quite strong. There was a Mondial, and a 911SC. Hands down, I prefer the Mondial - what a great machine!, and the 911 ---- well, just not my preference. I was told it's due to parts and ease of service. IMHO - I think Porsche's are quite difficult to work on, and Ferrari's are more logical in design, not to mention the better quality in Ferrari (what else to expect on a Ferrari site )
Ferrari and Lamborghini dealerships here are owned by the same man and the prices that he puts are just too high! So the porsche market is much better Examples: 997 turbo - R$739k SLS - R$765k R8 V10 - R$696k 458 - R$1600k 560-4 - R$1400k BTW R$1,6 = US$1,0 I can't tell you much about old cars because here we can only import 30+ years old used cars and we didn't have many of these cars imported here when new (for market and political reasons) so they are just starting to come now.
Easiest place in almost all Ferraris from the last few decades is right on top of the steering column: You can see the flat spot for it in the first picture in this post, to get your bearings http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=136136427&postcount=18 Exactly what it will look like, viewed from above, in this case a 400 and a 308 http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=140656804&postcount=7 Easy enough to see looking down through the front windshield. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, No vintage/collector cars could be imported until they are 30 years old? Wow. They're ALL considered just "used cars"? Sounds like my father (passed on a pontoon fender 1958 TR for $10k in 1979 or 1980), who is just now realizing that not all "old cars" are the same. $1M USD for a 458 - I thought some of OUR dealers were unscrupulous!!
Even if it is a really special edition, unique in the world and "only" 29 years old you can't import. Only new cars (at most 2 years old AND less than 50 kms or something like that) and +30's. Taxes here are something arround 120% for cars, if you see SLS and the other cars have and "resonable" price, but the italian ones..... BTW thanks for the info, it's going to be easier than i thought =]
