Besides Enzo's, F40, F50, and La Ferrari what other Ferrari models have limited production? The 550 Barchetta and 575 Superamerica are special editions of their coupe counterparts.

And of course, the one-offs - such as Clapton's lovely example.

    Was the F40 a limited edition ?

By your tight criteria do both it and the 288GTO count as 308/328 series cars on steroids anyway ?

Similar logic could apply to the 599GTO although owners would disagree

If you're talking about any era of Ferrari, then practically anything before the mid-1960s could be considered limited production, and ALL of the competition cars. Even after that time, Ferrari was always making some short run of special cars - 14 of the 365 California, very small numbers of fiberglass 308s, etc . . .

Sultan's supercar: One of the Sultan of Brunei’s SEVEN custom-ordered Ferrari F40s for sale in the UK for £2MILLION
    • The Ferrari F40 is just one of seven ever built with the steering wheel on the right hand side
    • All right hand driver examples were built for the Sultan of Brunei who has a collection of 5,000 motors
    • Just two F40s from his garage have ever been available for sale in the UK, both sold by Talacrest in Ascot
    • The supercar dealer wants £2million for the ultra-rare car, which has covered less than 7,000 miles from new

288 was a very different car from the 3x8 series. Because of the engine layout.
