Use a hair dryer to get it hotter....

The inside fender well cover has to come out and it bolts in along the front edge.

I went your way about eight years ago, with Speed Lingerie no less.

    1. I ended up paying the dealer to do the job.

    2. I ended up having to cut out the mesh because it was causing the car to overheat. I ain't kidding.

    3. I would have been MUCH better off if I had gone with plastic.

Yup, I had to as well, in fact, the later SL versions had big cut out circles cut in the mesh.

I paid a boat load for a new speed lingerie car bra. That was a mistake. They claim that it will not flap at speed, not true at all. Since it was for a 328, well known to scrape the front on anything over 1/4 inches high ( :) ), the bottom of the bra also tore. Save your money, either put clear plastic on it or nothing at all and just spray is every few years.

To add insult to injury the bozos as speed lingerie were absolutely uncooperative and unwilling to address the issue. I sent it to them, they measured it to make sure it was correctly made, they said it was but that they would not refund my money. So, tough ****.

But, to answer your question, yes it is a very tight fit. I had to struggle to get it on, but eventually, regretfully, I managed.
