Sorry, I'm sure this has been discussed before but it's new to me. Lip in front wheel wells on both sides as shown, said to be a kind of usual thing on 360s.

    1. Is this doing any damage to the tire? I can't see any.

    2. Simple as it may sound, why can't this just be rolled back with my wife's rolling pin? Or will it just flare out again.

    3. Is there a miracle cure?

    Thanks in advance.

My mechanic took a rubber mallet and banged it back in place (much to my shocked expression lol), said it was due to turning the wheel outward while shock was flexed I believe.

The little lip might catch the tire and rip it, I've seen it happen on some of those "stance nation" cars.

To fix it, you need to roll it back, and pretty much flatten it against the inside panel. You can use a rolling pin or a mallet, but it might have a ripple and risk the wheel well not being 100% round. A specialized roller that attaches to the hub will prevent that.

Also professionals will use a heat gun to soften the paint so it wont crack when you bend the panel

During annual maintenance at the local Ferrari dealer they sent my car out to their 'contract' body shop who did the same. Looked like ****. Was not smooth, rather rippled. They also did not bend it back far enough and it happened again (i.e. tire catching lip).

^^^ this. Get it done by a good shop that uses a specialized roller. Get it done right the first time. The lip will crack if having to repeat. Don't ask me how I know.

$300 at a quality body shop will get the fenders rolled and you will never have to worry again.

I had it done by a indy the 1st time and he only went half way. I then had it done by the F-dealer & it was great. I think it was about $100 each front wheel. No paint crack or out-of-round fender. BTW the old front tire was chewed by the previous owner.

My fender was bent prior to purchase of my 2004 Spider, the paint was cracked at the location of the bend. If you google "fender rolling (your location)" you may have a guy that will come to you. To get both front fenders rolled was 85.00 (my car was up on a lift with the wheel removed) in San Antonio. The results were good in spite of the paint being cracked already. I was able to put touch up paint in a hypodermic syringe and fill the crack, the touch up still needs to be wet sanded and probably reapplied for best results. I am glad I had the fenders rolled because I believe that more serious damage could have occurred if the tire would have caught the fender again.

Beats me why Ferrari allowed the cars to leave the factory without having the fenders rolled. There are some places that don't want to touch aluminium bodied cars either.

Had my fenders rolled at a ferrari authorised panels shop. They did not use a roll instead used few different panel tools and heat gun.

Paint cracked unfortunately. Tyres do not catch now but have to repaint front fenders.

I just rolled mine a couple days ago. Eastwood fender roller is less than $150 and the best I've come across. Easy DIY, just use heat and patience.

When you did it yourself, did you heat the area first, if yes to what sort of temp ?

^I have done a few fender rolling jobs (not on a Ferrari yet). Heat the paint warm to the touch to make it softer, and roll it little by little.

Took 2 days with dremelling out the roller hub and washers. Stock 55mm bolts and 11mm spacer plus washers worked great. Only time for 3 bolts each. Use heat, every time you advance the arm up. I feathered mine with the max roll at the top where it snagged. Only one to do this was passenger side but it happened 5 time in a year! Fender did swell slightly but less than 15' off vertical. And it's settling too. Set up and learning the procedure was the hardest part. Nothing but a schematic drawing on my Amazon knock-off. Most critical part was the small key ring that holds the threaded shaft nut on the inside end by the hub. Lose this or if it's too big, it will bind on the hub or not lift at all! Ferrari's could actually get a way with a smaller tool! I have about a 45' angle in my roll at the top where it's needed. Driver's side has never snagged.

I had to do a major roll my 993 rear fenders in order to fit larger tires. I used a Craftsman heat gun and a IR Temp reader and slowly heated a large area to about 160 degrees F. Reheat the area as you go. I also used several different sizes of PVC pipe and even a section of broom handle against the tire as I rolled both the car and pipe back and forth.

Good for you. I bent the first 5 snags back with a 2x4. Believe it or not the paint was OK except for a little wear on the inside edge. Did just fine with heat gun. Almost scalding to touch. If I had used the inside holes on the hub arm, it may not have flared the fender at all. I haven't looked at it since i covered the car Sunday night. It was settling anyway and this way I got a good high roll. The weatherstrip is really what will snag now.
