    I’ve been toying with the idea of trading my 360 F1 Spider in on a “new” used F430 spider and finally decided that the cost to make the change simply wouldn’t be worth the expense. In fact, I like most of the styling aspects of the 360 better than the F430, Although, it would be nice to have the power and transmission upgrades of the F430. It’s also impossible to go to a dealer and order a new one the way I want it (as I did when I bought my 355 F1 Spider). The result is that after 2-1/2 years of ownership I’ve decided to upgrade my 360 with some extra goodies. (I bought it “new 900 mi” used, and loved the color but it needs some cosmetic upgrades. The key requirements were not to mess with the OEM suspension or drive-train, but to add some creature comforts that will enhance long distance driving trips. (1,000 mi) RT to Florida, and 1,100 mi RT to Indy planned, among several other 300 to 600 mi summer trips. (Rear speakers and sub must come out for track days)

    So here’s a list of my mods & upgrades.

    Old Mods from 2006
    * X-Ost muffler and 3” dia pipes.
    * OEM Air horn
    * Shields
    * Front skid pads
    * Rear Challenge Grill
    * Dead pedal
    * 3M Clear bra

    Parts from Ricambi America ( Thanks again Daniel!)
    Pirelli Challenge Competition Slicks mounted on 18” OEM wheels

    New mods & Upgrades 2007
    * 3-piece 19” I-Forged wheels & Pirelli P-zero’s 9w” with 255-35 Fronts; 13”wide with 355-25 Rears w/polished lip, and Grigio Silverstone painted centers. OEM center caps with custom CMC machined gap-caps to fit 2-1/2 “ center holes. (Rolled & trimmed front fenders)
    * Kenwood 123456 [NAV, Sirius,Bluetooth, USB, 7” touch screen flip-up single DIN head unit with pop-off control face including rear view camera
    * 3 channel 1,200 w amp mounted in old CD Changer location,(Soon)
    2 new front door speakers with new tweeters.
    * Custom 3 compartment rear speaker/ sub enclosure with 5” Focal sub, and two 6-1/2” mid drivers. (fully removable for track events) with aircraft connector.
    (soon)
    * Custom painted trim (Grigio Silverstone) on door panels, dash nacelle, and radio surround, door sills, and seat brackets, and seat belt pass thru guides
    * New yellow Stadale style gauge face with red needles. (under consideration)
    * New black challenge front grills, and OEM spacers. ~
    * Powder coated yellow brake calipers w/black letters
    Now that I'm almost done I want a 430 again. Maybe next year?

    I Recently got a new Canon XTi and have been practicing my photo skills. This color looks great in the right light.

    Beautiful car!!

    I too toyed with the idea of going to the 430 Spider from my 360 Spider but came to the same conclusion as you. My dad just picked up a 430 spider, so if I have the need to drive one, I can grab his. I'm making my old car new again too. I just changed the clutch and I'm adding a sound system and wheels also. Do you have any pics of your sound equipment?

    Thanks!!!
