Ok, I thought I would create a sticky thread with a listing of NorCal events (planned, ideas, etc) - this can be updated and added to by everyone, but I ask that every post that adds an event copy the previous list first so we're not scrounging through.

Ferrari-Pac has their events listed here: http://www.ferraripacific.org/comevents/comevents.htm
Gil would be the one to talk to about those.

So far, as I understand it, there's:

April 21-24: Scuderia Rampage (Reno then Vegas. www.scuderiarampage.com)

April 30: Marque Madness @ Laguna Seca. This looks like a cool event.

    May 1: Hillsborough Concourse

End of August: that whole silly affair in monterey :D

That's all I've got on my list for sure. Things to consider:

    1) Virginia City Hillclimb - is this happening in June as well? The June event is the one I'd like to go to.

    2) Third Annual Mendocino Run - my thought is wait til June for this one. perhaps end of?

    3) Drive to Yosemite - V-man, you're the one who should be m aking the call on dates for this one.

    4) Gold Country Drive - Peter, this is your domain.

    5) Henry Tran Memorial Event (still in works)

    6) Hearst Castle Run - perhaps this can be co-ordinated with FDC, however I dont' want it to become as "organized" as they like them to be. We've got our own wild style.

    7) San Juan Bautista 2nd run: I *am not* doing 25 again that late in the day unless we're going to LA after.

Ok... let's hear em, and put it all together. Faisal - your input is key here.

The Ferrari Club event is, but that is a sedate event compared to the June VCHC event... but the event hasn't been on in 2 years now... wondering if it'll be back this year or not.

The Audi club used to host the June event I believe. Since the horrendous Viper accident a few years ago they haven't been back, and I don't think that will change.

True. I think Shelby club used to be involved in the first one before Audi. I think the real question is insurance now.

Pity... the end of another great event.

This is quite helpful - makes me wish for a "regional group calendar", in calendar format, that we could all post to.

lots of options here. I just came back from an open source conference and those cats have been busy when it comes to social networking, collab spaces, and other forms of online communication. Even Yahoo groups has a calendar at the commercial end of things...as does orkut...

I have an event planned for April 3rd at my store if anyone wants to bring their favorite ride or rides. I plan on doing several carshows throughout the year. Maybe get a NorCal version of CC up here in the bay area. Here is the posted thread with all the info.

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=48960

I would like to have as many F-chat members from the area as possible just so that I can have an opportunity to meet some of you and get some input about where I should go with the business. I know what I want to do, but more info would be a great asset.
