Well, I did it. I listed my beloved 348tb for sale. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/ferraris/434048-1992-ferrari-348tb.html#post142839611 As some of you know I acquired a 94 Spider from a family member that is essentially a time capsule. My uncle bought it brand new in 94 and only put 8000 miles on it. Its one of those it must be kept in the family things and since I don't have garage space for all of my cars I've decided to sell the TB. I know I'm going to regret this at some point but for right now it's gonna go. Image Unavailable, Please Login
One of the finest examples extant. Perhaps it would sell better in SoCal. I'll be glad to keep it in my garage until it does.
Truly a beautiful example of the model. GLWS and I hope it goes to a deserving home. For anyone interested, I will be in Phoenix between the 16th and the 20th so if you need it driven back to SoCal, I am available.
You promise not to park it under or near any trees? That's nice of you to offer Vince.....You wouldn't drive it like you stole it would you? Thanks for the kind words. I really hope it goes to someone who loves and enjoys it as much as I've had. Damn! I'm already missing it and it aint even gone yet.
One of my favorite 348s! I'll tell anyone I know who is looking for one (and would be a good caretaker, of course)
You would be hard pressed to find a more beautiful, pampered and unique representative of any 348 let alone the modifications it has makes this a prime example of the marque. Ask me how I know.
Jesus, what a great looking 348tb!! You priced it very reasonably, too. Sorta lower end in my opinion. GLWS!
Thank you! I'd like to be the guy that gets that outta the world price and raises the bar for 348's but I'm not that confident the market is ready for that yet. We are approaching those days but at a slower rate than we all want. There are still a lot of beaters out there mucking up the market for the nicer cars. I think I could get more if I was to be patient and wanted to jump through hoops and deal with a lot of tire kickers. but I don't have a lot of patience these days. I figure since someone will want to throw a major on her right away and probably will be buying out of my area this price will help offset some of the transportation and servicing costs. I'd like to move it fairly quickly and hope that someone will realize it's quite a good deal and jump at the opportunity.
Very nice! I hope an FChatter buys it so that this car too will stay "in the family" in a way. All the best, Andrew.
Saw and sat in this car yesterday while in Phx picking up my project (thanks CJ for the help loading it up!) If you want a freakin' gorgeous 348, this is it. No need to nitpick, as there are no nits. Perfectly optioned with huge brakes. A Berlinetta as the car was penned by pininfarina. I refused to drive it because it would make me want it too bad. I already have 2 1/2 348s. If you're a wheeler-dealer, please leave this car alone. If you're a Ferrari fanatic, this is the 348 for you! I'll stake my reputation on it. Wait, I'd better leave my reputation out of it. I don't want to hurt its value.
Thanks for the kind words Bruce. It was nice to get away from work for a bit and do some Ferrari goofing around. I like the Challenge car quite a bit and can't wait to see and hear it running. I'm glad you found it. So, you got that engine out yet?
I should probably mention that the car is located in sunny Phoenix, Az. Just in case y'all didn't catch the location in plugzit's post. A quick plane ride outta California into Sky Harbor Airport then 20 minutes drive to the cars location.....Of course you can also drive over but why not fly in, get your new toy and drive it home. That's what I did, in reverse. I know plugzit will pick it up and drive it back for someone. That said, He will drive it like he stole it and the brakes will probably look like stock ones when it's delivered to you......right B?
Well, as of this afternoon my 348tb is under new ownership. The new owner and friend are on their way home with it as I type this out. I will not disclose the new owners identity; I will let him introduce himself when he's ready. It's been a day of mixed emotions as this little car has been with me for a while. I was sad to see her go yet happy to see the excitement of the new owner and know she's going to be loved on and be in good hands......y'all know who I'm talkin 'bout nyuck, nyuck, nyuck! So, to the new owner of the Bushmobile I wish you as much happiness with the car as I've had, drive it and enjoy it in good health. Peace! CJ
18 HOURS Palos Verdes to Phoenix to Palos Verdes The Bushmobole is back in the Southbay! Come meet the new owner and see the Bushmobile in all of it's glory at the PV cars and coffee this Saturday. The new owner will post up here later. It was an awesome roadtrip with those around us thinking we are nuts. But only an insane person would let the Bushmobile get away. I am so glad my friend purchased this car or I would have had to. If Bruce (Plugzit) didn't have THREE 348's already I'm sure he would have bought this car. Thanks Bruce for letting me know it was for sale. This car has a cool Fchat history and very tasteful modifications and reminds me of the fact that we are all just custodians of these fine automobiles. We had a great time meeting CopterJohn who is an incredible host for his city. We wish we had more time to visit and explore the large Ferrari network in Phoenix. We did not have time to visit GT Car Parts....argghh!!! We will be back! Thanks! Copter we had fun.
Sweet and nice job in bringing the car home. It was a great choice for the new owner, a long time friend of yours FBB. I am glad he bought this car instead of the sub $30K fixer you were considering. Can't wait to see it tomorrow. Another South Bay 348 brother!
I still remember 3 years ago when Copter made an offer to sell his car at $35K and no taker. Then he took it off the market and refused to sell it to me when I asked. That is how I ended up with the 6 of 32 Factory Challenge.
It worked out for both of us in the end. Actually all three of us including the new owner. I was going through a tough spell back then. I am sure glad I fought hard to keep and enjoy the car that whole time. Sometimes it's those little curves life throws at you that make you really appreciate what you have and not worry so much about what you don't.
