thought I'd let everyone know I listed the GTO on ebay..so if it goes well enough this could be the last time it makes it to the VA 13 years on that certainly have flown by
Thanks!! I don't really WANT to sell, but unless something changes dramatically it's the best move for us.
After stretching the body to correct proportions, implanting a V12 and changing the car to RHD you simply needed a new challenge. I'm looking forward to your next project and wish you good luck on the auction.
Ebay shows sold for $200 is that real? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1962-250-GTO-tribute-show-winner-RHD-dry-sump-injected-V12-and-6-speed-/280913367388?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item4167bdd15c
Sorry i haven't replied sooner, it's hard to be enthusiastic about posting when it's about a week that we decided to auction off dreams. We had a few firm offers of 85k and cancelled all bids and ended the auction.. Payment not received yet, but it seems serious.. it's a definite financial and emotional loss.. but i guess clears the path for some new directions for us both. I still have a 550 drivetrain that was for sale, but maybe now I build around that.. or sell it too and buy something else.. dunno yet
Those photos look familiar. So sad to see a Chicago staple go. I hope it goes to a good home and I can't wait to see what you guys work on next.
