Has anyone found an alternate source for these screws? As well as the grille, they're used in the rear hatch. They appear to be M5 machine screws just under 13mm in overall length and also width due to an unusually wide truss head. About $12 each from Ferrari, if they can even get them (told 3 weeks for delivery). Any one come across them?
    Thanks

I dropped one and it disappeared in my front trunk area.

After considerable hunting, I was not able to locate a screw with this larger head size. I used a smaller head screw from Bel Metric (indeed it is M5), with a washer.

Would be good to find a source.

The finish is very specific and if keeping the car at concorso level, painting screws or half baked alternatives always detract points. I did find these in ebay and were quite acceptable. Nonetheless, if possible order from Ferrari and keep the receipts in the car binder to show they are factory issued. These cars are always worth keeping as nice as possible.

Well I am an Honors level judge with the FCA, judged at Cavallino for many years and was formerly an IAC/PFA board member who was one of the ones making judging rules and my other half is Chief Judge for FCA. I do not agree with your assessment.

Indeed, I'm looking for exactly correct screws to replace five or so not-quite-right screws that bug the crap out of me. Spending $60 on five screws will be an interesting experience.

Despite the wrong screws, my car did win first place in its class at the Huntington Beach Concours earlier this summer.

Ben, I hear you! Brian (Rifledriver) is right in disagreeing with my assesment, but I'm an incurable preservationist. Just happened last month with some trunk lid panel clips. I do recall in a concorso a judging discussion about the rivets that also hold the hood grille. They should be blind, meaning that the bottom end is closed, and are black; someone did noticed they were not correct, acceptable, but not as done at factory. BTW, Congrats on the Huntington Award, being OCD pays :) Your car does look gorgeous.
