I found this in the bushes outside my office. Now we are feeding the feral mom a couple cans a day. At a busy hospital there is risk she will move them & we will never find again. We are hoping to let them nurse awhile before it is necessary to gather them up as they will be wandering into the street soon. Want one? By the way there are 7.

I love cats...might end up being a crazy cat man one day.

They're cute, but my three are enough for right now

Are kittens of a feral mom as crazy as the mom?

I once had an employee at one of my restaurants attacked by a feral cat while taking out the trash. He blindly through the trash into the bin not knowing the cat was in there looking for food. Quite a few scratches and a round of shots.

our cat was a kitten born from an alley cat, we took it in quite young, took it in to the vet and got them to check it and give shots ...we found some neighborhood kids had cornered it under a car, so i reached under and took it with me ...it turned out to be the best tempered cat :)

Took these while landscaping -edging & blowing going on around them. As you can see 2 are already starting to wander. They were all quite terrified mewing loudly. We just hope they can nurse for another week before we have to take them.
Note they have acquired a Cheetos space blanket.

Referencing my feral experience. In the late '80s a friend from my neighborhood lived next door too me at my apartment complex and when he moved out he just left his kitten like it was just more trash. So after about two days of her meowing and looking over the fence at me I took her in and gave her a comfy home (after someone had stolen my precious baby Ms.Kitty a full blooded Russian Blue).

So anyway my apartments backed up to fields and such and there was one feral tom with a HUGE battle scarred head and MK II got pregnant. After helping her deliver her four healthy kittens I moved them all inside into a kitty Taj Mahal but once they were 6-8 weeks old their feral cameout and they hated all human contact. After about 3-4 months of this without their behavior changing or the moms I let them outside where they always wanted to go and I moved. I do not regret that decision one bit because they were not house or people cats.

Moral of the story is one has a 50/50 chance at a feral cat or kitten becoming the loving house cat we want them to be so tread with caution.
