Living in Atlanta for the Summer

I'm interviewing for an internship with MillerZell on the 17th. If I'm accepted then I'll be in Atlanta from May 22 - Aug 21.

Cant wait! I love Atlanta, was down there for a weekend once and saw a 360, Carrera GT, and a Bentley GT (all on the same night).

Any advice on places to check out, car events to attend etc?

Hopefully I'll be able to meet some of you Atlanta guys while I'm there, wish me luck!

And every Saturday there is a get together at a donut shop in downtown.

 

Is everyone welcome? Or just exotic owners (at the donut shop)?

The Giovanni's group is a great place to start and meet some great guys. You are always welcome to eat at our table with us when you come.

3rd Saturday - Exotic & Sports Cars at Giovanni's Italian Restaurant, Peachtree Pkwy, Johns Creek (Suwanee), 4 PM to dusk.

I thought that it was a little more random than every third Saturday.

 

It was random for awhile, but Brian said earlier this year he will try to stick to the third Saturday unless there is an overriding reason to move it, such as a big event at Road Atlanta. And of course, anyone who reads this forum will know if and when that happens.

Just arrived about 4-5 hours ago. Whats on the agenda for the next few weeks?

 

Where in town are you residing? That will make a bit of a difference.

This Saturday there are breakfast-time car shows (both informal) in Chamblee and East Cobb; later there are "formal" shows (registration fees and judging) in Flowery Branch and Marietta. Take your pick!

Going to have to wait until next weekend before I can do anything. Am very busy apartment/house hunting at the moment. As much as I would love to attend the shows this weekend, I cant

 

Hey maser ,do you know where Marietta is? I might be going to a tournament down there for baseball, so my flight is to Atl.

 

Well, the "early" shows tomorrow are both from 8:30 to 11 AM. You could go to one of those for an hour or so and then go house-hunting.
