May I ask fellow enthusiasts to shed some light into the larger engine option for the LM002?

Some sources say there was an option to swap standard V12 with (power-boat) sourced 7.2 V12 with 600hp. Does anyone know how many of these beasts (if any at all) were built?

Other sources confuse the matter even more, stating there was a single LM004 prototype with a 7.0 (or 7.3) V12 with 'only' approx 420hp.

    Any info will be appreciated.
    Thank you.

Some sources say there were 2 cars.
In any case, the strut towers were set wider on LM004.

As for the idea, I generally support it. But it's better to run 9L marine V12.
LM002 definetely needs more power and quicker steering.
