My Pop's still got a big-ass phone from Korean War... and Minesweeper... and flamethrower... Over last 25 or whatever years, he's used attache case phone, smaller but still big-ass powerpack corded phone (could still count on great reception when reception was thhht from StarTac and the like), wine-bottle sized, brick - all of 'em down to these dinky things we use now.
the reason why they are selling on ebay for so much is because they have $40 dollars worth of other precious metals. close to an once of silver, some gold, some platinum, the older phones they put much more gold in them, than the newer ones because when you sell a phone for $1000 who cares how much you spend on precious metals. I personally have over 2000 of these older units in stock I will sell anyone who will take them for $10 a peice. john ok, I will sell them for $8 each if you take all!
