There is a 328 GTB in Orange Cty, relatively local to my location in SB, on Ebay, 1986, here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=008&item=180025280483&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

The owner states that is has been repainted but doesn't indicate why or when, apparently doesn't know. Metallic black paint. This is an original color for this model? I don't recall ever seeing a "metallic" black painted 328 or other for that matter. Am I wrong, is this an unusual but original color?

Nero was the metallic black. Have the seller photograph the original paint decal in on the inside of the decklid to be sure what the car was originally.

I've seen Nero metallic - it's friggin' UNREAL! One of this nicest colors on any car, from any maker - ever. And the fact that it's a GTB makes that one rare puppy, assuming all else is kosher.

Bullfighter, I believe you are correct, given the email address given.

Looks like a great car from all the pictures and he's gone to great lengths to provide pix's of all pertinent information plus the car itself. I would never buy a car sight unseen and without a PPI, though. Couldn't work out seeing the car this weekend as it's far enough away to take the better part of the day and I had too many plans and unfortunately I will be gone next weekend.

Where would a good place to PPI the car local to Fountain Valley, except the dealership?

    Thanks

    Jeff

    Hi Jeff,

The car in question does belongs to me, as Bullfighter had suggested.
The paint is the original color. This can be verified on the paint sticker as suggested, and the link below

    http://one.fsphost.com/tvu/Engine/

Also, you can bring up the high resolution picture(by clicking on the mid-size picture) of the original MSRP and confirm in the gray section that the delivered color is "Black Met/Beige". Attached link is

Thanks, I wanted to present as much information, high resolution pictures, and service histories as much as possible so that everyone can get a better feel of the car and then decide if they want to pursue it or not.

As far a PPI, there was thread here in the SoCal section. Hopefully this will help.

    Good luck in your search.
