Hi All- I'm looking at a car that may be what I am looking for. it has all service records, keys, books, etc, but it will need a belt service in about 6 months. I am looking for what my options are. When I lived in California, I could get a belt service for $2200-2500 at a non dealer service center. I'm trying to figrue total cost of this car and was looking for quotes. Any suggestions? Thanks, Matt
Most of the DFW owners prefer Norwood Performance. Very knowledgible and fantastic people. However, they are very busy. Call them and talk to Mike and/or James. 972.831.8111
Good choice. I will be sending my car to them next month for a major service. I got a sense of comfort that my car is in good hands when chatting/emailing back and forth with them.
Matt, if it's going to need the service anyway, I'd go ahead and get it on their calendar if I was you. You'll be glad you did. I called in July, they were backed up until October. The good news was it could wait.
2405 Crown Rd. Dallas 75229. Tell Mike that Ron Wright sent you. Where in Plano do you live? I'm in the Parker/Preston area.
Hi Ron, Thank you for the info's, I'm in Legacy & Preston Meadow Not too far from you. Are you going to Starbuck's this saturday 9am ???
Hey Matt, if you are still looking. You can try Aldo's European in Rowlett. He has a fleet of Ferrari's, amongst other makes. I like him because he's local, plus he will recommend another shop if he feels you would get a better deal.
I know that James at Norwood's and Mike at Lambo Dallas are good, but they don't have a Ferrari Challenge Race Team...
Hey, I hear Boardwalk Ferrari has a Challenge Team. You could also eat your lunch off the floor in the shop!
I hear the challenge team truck drive is a real food snob with a fetish for creme brulee and the manager is a slave driver. Now everyone back to work.
I hear the leader of Norwood likes to yell at cross-dressers while taking a stroll through the streets of Montreal. I hear....but I wasn't there.
Your mama should have told you don't believe everything you hear. But I heard there is really great creme brulee in Mt. Tremblant - you should check it out.
Ughh.....nevermind....just bring your car to Norwood! Back on topic.... The Creme Brulee in Mont Tremblant was acceptable.
Gotta drive something... and we only eat off the shop floor when working all night to get cars ready for the track... what topic?
I might not be the foodie you are but I thought it was more that 'acceptabe', as a matter of fact I think a few people (myself included) licked the bowl.
Licking the bowl at what I consider to be a "sausage fest" of technicians is nothing to be proud of. Still, I think the most fun I have had in a long while was Montreal. Norwood RULES!!
I just noticed you had a website... http://www.norwoodperformance.com Wow, Stew told me you were running things out of your back yard.......
lol. I'm new, so I'm sure I am missing an inside joke. The folks at norwood were nice guys on the phone. Now it looks like maybe they are a little weird. I hope no one here really takes hosting of challenge teams as a serious deciding factor, right? Most challenge drivers are - whats the politically correct term - scary.
