Thats what makes me think that James' money is safe. Would you risk ripping someone off in such a small community? From my understanding, the dealer has been about for a while, and as Ade said, they surely wouldnt risk a reputation over one deal??

if you find the car you can not take it from the new owner as you gave????? permisson to sell it and he did your problem is with the dealer
i know this as i went to court a few years ago with a boat left it at abersoch land and sea owner IAN HARRISON now owns bluewater marine in PWHELLI he sold it to his friend went bust for millions and my check bounced i went down to wales stole the boat out of there compound while recievers were running the show had it hidden for a year they took me to court and i lost got locked up also refused to give it back as they could not find it then they had a order to sell my house to recoupe there money so i gave it back and mister IAN HARRISON has since done this again with another ltd company in pwhelli
so dont waste your time looking for the car as it belongs to the new owner and it has nothing to do with him as he has paid ???? so you have to chase the dealer just go down the showroom and cause a rumpus and dont leave till you get paid cash or draft dont bother stealing any stock as it is probably not his

if you want any advice please pm me and i will contact you there is things you can do but dont want to post it

WOW - I've heard that story on ybw.com - who'd have thought that it was our own SteveF!

I bet that boat had the engines in the right place (rear), but were they 12 cylinder? :D

James - sorry to hear of your ordeal - I'm sure it will get sorted - pi$$ing FChat off would be the kiss of death for a Ferrari business

I just can't believe he would risk his business on one sale! I'm sure you'll get it resolved with a positive outcome

I thought his reputation was already trashed - wouldn't touch him with a barge pole. Is your car still on his web site ? (there's a 355GTS red roof etc) I'll innocently phone up and ask for you, has he said he's sold it ?

OK, now 'guessing/knowing' who it is (potentially) , I retract my previous statement. Its unlikely he is short of cash (SOR-based). It must just be an administrative oversight. There is no WAY he would risk doing this on purpose..... it just is not worth it... at all !

However that does not excuse/explain it at all.

I few months back, I remember reading a post on Pistonheads about a guy who had his Mondial burnt out by a "specialist" who had bodged the repairs on it(the insurance company refused to pay them). Apparently the police were investigating, however the moderator over there deleted the thread before any outcome was known. Is this the same dealer by any chance?

I think the guy is capable ..... i went there to look at the cars (they all looked tired and needed cleaning etc ) he was not interested even though i had made an apointment ... he was more interested in filling his face with the Pizza they had in the office. He lost any chance of a sale, Nick Cartwright got my cash :) and he is a gent.

The car's been removed from their website and the alleged buyer part-ex'd his berlinetta for my GTS. I'm assuming he's now got to sell that car before he pays me, which is an unbelieveable way to do business. I'll be visiting him with a few friends soon..

james let me know if you need some people to pay him a visit if legal conditions prevail. I am good friends with some bailiffs who will go and collect what you are owed. Its amazing though how much information you can get alone on this kind of stuff on the web. It shouldnt have to come to this but there are some poeple like this about. Hope you can get this rectified without this type of intervention.
