Lockheed F35 Lightning II (JSF) in Die Hard movie

Of course the abilities of the plane were exaggerated. The plane goes into that hover mode for takeoff and landings (if said model is equipped). It doesn't have two cannons, only one. And the maneuverability isn't that good. I'm not sure if the landing gear is required to come down when in that mode. Maybe it can be overridden, I don't know...

There is more footage in the movie before that specific part. They showed it switching from the regular flight mode into the hover mode accurately. Not sure of the Boeing guys in this forum will want to see the movie since the X32 didn't make the cut.
