I'm quite impressed to see how much advertising DHL has been in F1 circuits around the world. I did a google search and found out that they're currently the main partners and official logistics support for the teams.

My question is, does anyone knows how to get involved with DHL in Formula One? I mean, how does one get a job with DHL, working at Formula One level? This includes travelling to all the circuits and assisting teams around the clock on race weekends.

    Thanks in advance.

P/S: Mods, i hope i created this thread in the right section. Thanks!

Air freight is provided by Bernie (using DHL) for fly-away races. Afaik the teams handle ground transport for the European races themselves.

I'm sure DHL fills the few F1 related positions internally. But I don't see anything to be enamored about. The teams pack everything themselves so DHL doesn't assist them with anything other than the transport from A to B, like any other cargo. Since DHL likely uses local ground support in each country (like for any other cargo), I doubt anyone other than the few logistics people involved are F1-specific; even the pilots may not be.

LOL.. :D Thing is I have no idea who or where to ask. If there's a chance, i'm looking to see if i could get in touch with them, and see if i could actually be involved, or start working with them, getting involved primarily in F1. Hence i started this thread to see if anyone knows abything about it :D

Hey Remy....I just saw that, I was wondering with you found out how to get involved with DHL in formula one. I'm a logistics engineering student and I would love to know that.

    Hello Beatriz,

So sorry for the late reply. I did manage to eventually work with DHL. So here's some pointers:

    - DHL has several companies under the DHL umbrella
    - The most successful one is DHL Express, which incidentally is contracted to F1
    - To get into DHL you need plenty of luck, and recommendations. However, since you are a student, you can actually check their site, and sign in for an internship programme
    - DHL promotes within. Therefore assuming you get into DHL, I would advice you to accept whichever company they put you in (i was in DHL Supply Chain)
    - While I have moved on from DHL, it has provided me insights. Today, i think it's the 10th year I'm in logistics, and it has given me massive opportunities to work abroad in many countries.
    - I can encourage you to keep on pushing and pursuing logistics. Back then, I studied marketing, as there wasn't any university offering courses on logistics in Malaysia. The closest was Singapore, and it cost a huge sum.
    - What I can tell you is, in logistics, there's only the sky. There's limitless you can achieve

Drop me a PM if you need any pointers.

    Take care, stay safe
