Call me a Luddite, but I finally got fed up with all of my remotes and picked up an 880 today. What a great bit of kit.

I have the Harmony One and love it. Since I have a DVD Player(plus sound), a Up-Convert DVD and a PS3 plus my cable box, it has helped clean up the table top. One button does it all.

    No complaints...

my son and I could figure out the dozen remotes but wife and daughter were reluctant to learn without the 880.

It's not perfect, but it sure is handy. Just takes a while to work through the initial setup and needs to be reprogrammed every time I make a change (like upgrading audio on a component to optical).

The "activity" keys on the top are programmed to the activities you want: "Watch DVD", "Play XBox", "Play Wii", "Watch SatTV"...

This thing seems to hold a charge forever - maybe months?

Note that not everything is RF/IR compatible, PS3 is Bluetooth which doesn't work with this model, and an adapter is needed if doing IR through glass, which I think is the 890? It also seems to get confused sometimes if you turn off a device with it's specific remote rather than through itself.

I have one, an 890 I think, it works great. I have my equipment hidden behind a wood door, goes thru it just fine.

My Harmony One has gone a solid month without being charged....

This little dongle fixes that IR/Bluetooth issue. ....though you have to go through and program the remote since it does not recognize any of the buttons from the PS3...

Had ours for about two years... works great. Still too many little buttons for my wife. Still much better than a stack of remotes.
