great thread! I recognize a couple of cars. Has anybody ever been told off for taking pictures at the Dorchester? Some ******* manager told me not to take pictures and warned me about "private property" yesterday. There were about 10 other people taking pictures but he singled me out. prick where was that?!
I believe that is the Sheraton on Knightsbridge! Always plenty of crazy cars parked in there, but hidden a little from view from the main road unlike the Dorchester. I've never had any issues with photos at the Dorchester. I once got chatting to one of the door staff when waiting for a friend and he seemed pleasant enough and interested in cars which always helps!
That is correct. With the Park Tower Casino beneath it. They didn't like me taking photos here but never had a problem at The Dorchester. Paul
Strange as I've never had any issues taking photos in either to be honest. Usually some very nice cars outside the Sheraton and Al-Jumeriah round the corner too
Have the Arab cars already arrived in London this summer? So far I've only seen pics of the gold-black Veyron from Dubai on the www, but not much else... Ciao, Lars T.
There are a few apparently, but it is going to be a shorter season this year as Ramadan is a couple of weeks earlier into August.
The Dorchester has never been a problem for taking photos for me personally. They don't really like people in the underground car park of the Sheraton Park Tower and Carlton Jumeirah. Such a shame because they have some of the best cars. Luckily they all come of every few days.

I finally made it to London for a day of car spotting and catching up with mates. There are a few shots in the thread linked below but the highlights have to be the SLR Volcano, Veyron and the collection of cars at Al-Jumeirah around 7pm on Sunday; SLR Roadster, LP670-4 SV, pink Superleggera, CLK Black Series, Matt Black LP640, Chrome Murci Roadster, Phantom DHC (and my Clio ) I think I may have seen you Jeroen, outside Al-Jumeirah around 7? I'm in the UK for a few weeks and I'll be in London between 6-12 August. Will there be any supercars around or will they all be gone back home?
There should still be most of the current crop around by then, but it'll be getting towards the premature end of the season I would think.
Glad I checked this thread again! Went over and saw the green LP640, SV (seen it at the Dorchester before), maroon Veyron, and SLR Volcano. Also saw a light yellow 599 GTB, black 612 Scaglietti, and red F355. I'm planning to go back and hopefully catch the chrome Murci, pink SL, and Carrera GT Anyways thanks for the tip! But I do wish some of these guys would get more creative Everybody has to have the latest and greatest, I'd like to see some older cars like the EB110 or F40 I've seen 4 Bugatti Veyrons over here and only 1 each of the Challenge Stradale, Diablo, and Countach!

Just curious, what's the deal with the Dorchester Hotel? I was there last spring and there were always plenty of high-end and exotic cars in the valet lot out in front. I know it's a very nice hotel, but there are plenty of five-star places in the area. That hotel seemed to be where the exotics clustered. Is there a particularly popular restaurant or club in there?
Here are a few from last summer. Plenty more I didn't get shots of. LP640, SLR-722 with matte black wrap, Veyron and CGT. Before I saw the Carrera GT I had seen one for the first time turning in front of my hotel, but didn't get a photo. 5 minutes later I spot another parked at the Dorchester - Only in London. Anyone have any idea what kind of exotics are still around? I'll be in london sometime next week. Are all the middle east cars still around?
