No more dangerous than any other mega city actually probably safer than most of the others.

I doubt that's random chance, they're probably being targeted very specifically. Otherwise, there would be uproar about wealthy Londoners constantly being beaten up.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

There is no shortage of people who would like to take a swing at Bernie. It's surprising that it doesn't happen more often.

    Let's try to remember it's F1 and not P&R. :)

    All the best,

Most people wouldn't stoop that low! ;)

    Just to add:

At least tell the whole story! (from: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2370773/Tamara-Ecclestones-husband-Jay-Rutland-mugged-jewelery-worth-70-000.html) :

"Mr Rutland, 32, said he was driving home alone from a friend’s house shortly after midnight on Wednesday when his fuel gauge started flashing, so he stopped for petrol at a garage off the A12 in Wanstead, East London.

He had gone to relieve himself in some bushes in a secluded corner when he was approached by two men who he claims threatened him before assaulting and robbing him.

One produced a knife and demanded cash and valuables, then Mr Rutland was hit in the face and knocked to the ground.

During the scuffle one of the attackers dropped his phone. Mr Rutland picked it up and later handed it to police, which helped identify the man.

A 21-year-old man appeared in court yesterday accused of robbery and possession of an offensive weapon. He was remanded in custody."

So someone was actually caught and charged for the attack! - They're not on the loose looking for their next victim tonight!

Sorry, but I seriously doubt that the muppets who carried out this attack knew the guy had anything to do with Bernie Ecclestone whatsoever!

(If they were that smart, how did one of them manage to lose his phone in the attack and get caught? Rule No.1: "Never bring a mobile phone to a knife fight" )

I suspect it was purely a coincidence!

Yes. London is very dangerous. Please don't come here and please sell all foreign owned property immediately. Detroit is a much better and safer city live. Go there instead.

Also, apparently you can hack someone to death with a cleaver in London and stand around the corpse ranting for 20 minutes before cops with guns show up. Such a person would go down in a hail of bullets in the US.

    Yep. Happens *all* the time.....

Probably also taking a few cops and innocent bystanders with 'em too.

If they're lucky. Unlucky takes out family members and friends.

    No thanks.

I'll take my chances with a cleaver.

    Cheers,
    Ian

Seems here in the States they'd have "gone down in a hail of bullets".

I will once again, STFU. ;)

You mean to say that the American police do not deal with such incidents with a simple statement along the lines of:

"I say old chap! - do you think it might be possible to consider ending this rather frightful commotion as soon as possible as it really is most unbecoming! I regret having to use such harsh terms but it really isn't cricket you know!"

Well! - I am most shocked!

Having read a bit about his guy - I'm wondering if Bernie knows anything about what happened? :)

I heard Bernie's attackers were so disappointed that they ended up stealing a Hublot they wanted to try again for a proper watch.
