Hello! I’ll be visiting London June 8th - 15th. Do you have any suggestions on car attractions to visit? I’ll go see the main dealers and such. Thank you!
My suggestion is - get out of London and see the countryside! Cities are a lot more “alike” than the countries they’re in.. So, go south to the coast and stand the ground where the Battle of Hasting was fought, head west and see Roman ruins and tour castles, head way west and see the Neolithic ruins (skip Stonehenge and go to Avebury instead). You want to see the stuff that you CAN’T see in your home country! Kevin
There's many older similar threads which are worth reviewing even though some car related sites no longer exist - much depends on where you are staying and how far you want to travel eg Mercedes World @ Weybridge or even Haynes @ Yeovil ! I'm sure we can also help fine tune your dealer list eg try Macari
If you have wheels, go to Middlewick house near Bath, 8 or 9 June. Nick Mason opens his grounds up to charity and puts his cars (including gto) on the lawns. fantastic day out. 9 june broadway in the cotswolds, ferrari club takes over the town. here is always worth a visit. https://www.beaulieu.co.uk/ if your just london based, brooklands museum, next to merc world.
Brooklands is a cool idea. Joe Macari always has something cool in the showroom and you can get there easily enough on public transport or by Uber. Otherwise, yeah, there's not much in London itself really. There's a Ferrari dealer in Berkeley Square but they don't really have much space so there's not much there. HR Owen has just opened an enormous showroom in Hatfield, just north of London, but you'd really need to drive there. If you want to see nice cars in London just go for a walk around Mayfair (draw a box on a map between Park Lane to the west, Regent St to the east, Piccadilly to the south and Oxford St to the north) and Belgravia (Eaton Square, Belgrave Sq etc) and you'll see all sorts. Then, as above, go and enjoy some of the other things the UK has to offer!
There is also HR Owen Ferrari and Lamborghini outlets in Old Brompton Road (27 and 125), South Kensington if your around the V&A or Natural History museum. I second @tomw idea of a walk around Mayfair and add in New Bond Street as you walk down to the Ritz for Afternoon Tea
uk historic gem https://london.acecafe.com/ Inner London is definitely worth using the tube and getting around outside of 7-9am and 4pm-7pm.
