FUN stuff! It was my first time going this year and I was impressed by the variety of exhibits and activities besides the racing to pass the time. The exhibition center was filled with awesome vendors, lots of car models, a few Ferrari 360 Challenge cars (and 1 black stradale), and more! I came to the race prepared to drive home in deep deep trouble...I knew it would happen and it did. I want to be a race car driver :) Too bad Im a bit late on starting in carts when Im 7 like all of the other drivers did. There is inspiration though...a 17 year old was competing in the Champ car series and he drove very well!

I watched the Toyota Atlantic qualifying, the champ qualifying, and finally the historic qualifying --what a treat! Lots of beautiful old Mclarens from various eras dicing it out on the track. Their sound was just amazing!

They had the celebrity race today and it was...entertaining :) A few of the celebrities drove pretty well, but some of them were spinning all over the place. The celebrities started the race followed 30 seconds later by 4 pro drivers. Despite starting 30 seconds behind and having to fight their way up the field, needless to say, Max Pappas from the pro category took first overall with the rest of the professionals following 3rd-5th. The winner in the celebrity category was Chris McDonald (sp?). Not sure where he is from though...

In front of the Westin Hotel, Black on Black had a nice display of cars. Early in the morning when the weather was dry and warm the cars looked beautifully detailed. After some weird rainy weather throughout the day the cars lost a bit of their shine (see last few pictures) :)

Anyway, here are all the pictures. I cant tell you how hard it was to get a good shot of the cars in action --especially on the main straight. My camera has a slight time delay, you have to wait for it to focus, and the cars were moving at 150mph :) Did my best though!

Jordan, great pics! Been waiting for 'em. Glad you enjoyed yourself. Looks like they brought out the Enzo today--it wasn't there on friday. No Gallardo either. Hopefully they'll be there tomororw. Looks like the Ferrari F1s are MIA this year. Too bad. :( They sounded so yummy. :) Was looking forward to seeing them again. I as well need to be a race car driver. Perhaps we'll be racing eachother one day and leave these schmoes in the dust.

Thanks Eric! The Enzo was something else...it always is :)

If you are ever interested in going to any racing, karting, or high performance driving schools, let me know! Maybe we could head up together. Ive got a lot of pennies to save up for something like that though :)

Just kidding. Those pictures are GREAT! I like the old F1 cars and the last few of the F50. Jordan, if only that guy wasn't in the background, (of the F50 pic.)that would be a poster!!!!

Great pics Jordan! I went to the race on Friday when I was in the 5th grade. I had alot of fun! My dad got 2 passes for the pit suits from a client he had, it was trully a experience! I mean these seats were directly above the pit stop, it was tons of fun!

I didnt see any dealership signs attached with the car. It was on display in the same area as some huge spinning chrome wheels.

Neat looking car in person. Would be fun as hell!

WOW! Jordan, that pic you made is GLORIOUS! Very cool. After going back today, I realized the Enzo and Gallardo were inside the Westin. Didn't notice and didn't bother looking inside on Friday.

Also, regarding your earlier post, Jordan...I have been wanting to do a racing/driving school since before I could drive!! However, I as well must collect some pennies first. So, sounds like a good idea. My brother has always been interested as well. I don't know when this might ever happen, but let me know if you ever start getting serious and we'll see what might happen.
