    Hi,
brakes feel terrible on our early 456GTA. Car has been sitting for a while. Long (very), soft pedal.

Has had a couple of long drives over the weekend and it has not come good, so intend to bleed them??.

Does this sound like a master cylinder issue and are they rebuildable?

    Thanks for your help,
    Scott

Seems like a good place to start is indeed a brake flush and go from there. Good luck!

Make sure and bleed the master cylinder, too, if it has bleed valves.

You can try a bleed you might get lucky. After long sits water absorbs in fluid. It make corrosion in moving parts rips seals in master then you feel as long pedal. So can be master. Sometimes you have marginal master and fouled at piston seal freezes piston then pedal effort pushes fluid past master seals. So actually if system is unmaintained and that fouled I would rebuild it all
