Hello, This is technically not my first post nor is it my first post regarding the F355 but feel like I've gotten to know these cars real quick and first hand. As some of you may know, I am the new owner of Vas' (355rockit) beautiful 95' Berlinetta. I have wanted this car since I was in my early 20's and right after my 40th B-day, finally made the dream a reality The car is stunning to look at and a blast to drive. She makes you feel like Schumacher on the turns hugging the road with the snarl of the engine right behind you, then into 3rd and 4th gear as the by-pass valves open to hear her in full song, - well to put it in one word, simply 'glorious'. Although my first experience in the delivery process didn't come on a paved road. It was a reality check that owning a Ferrari has it's high's and lows. But in the end, it's the pride and love for the marque and the people who made this journey possible, make it all worth it in the end. Thanks again to Vas who is the most patient and knowledgeable owner I know when it comes to the F355. Carl for his detailed expertise in troubleshooting. Adam Cox for mechanic extraordinaire! John Heim as David Copperfield in making magic happen when in doubt, and Jonothan and Julie for their extra care and voluntary time when things didn't go as planned. Looking forward to being part of the family for life and learning/contributing along the way. Cheers, Mark Onto the pics. The series of pics are from left to right through her journey from San Diego, to Livermore, to San Francisco and back to the East Bay with a memorable first drive to the Ferrari Challenge in Sonoma this past weekend. That's the one to have! She really looks great and very minty. Congratulations! Challenge grille maybe? 95 F355 Berlinetta cars are the coolest and most useable old school Ferraris ever.
Man what a great looking car! It's so hard to decide between the 355 and 360, so I may have to own both one day! Congratz on owning a piece of art and history.
Mark, congratulations again and nice meeting you and your wife last Saturday. Welcome to the Brotherhood! Your F355 if immaculate and so pretty hehe. This is Darryl with the 348. Looking forward to seeing you at the drive this weekend
Welcome! I'm in the south bay, but good to have more 355s (and Ferraris in general...) out on these roads.
Mark, that is a beautiful F355. I was able to realize the dream with my first Ferrari, a 355, just before my 40th birthday, as well. It's good to see another F355 in the bay area. There are not too many out there compared to all the 458's, California's, 430's, and 360's that you'll more likely see at gatherings. At the Sonoma Challenge Races on Sunday, I only saw 3 other 355's around, a blue spider, another red berlinetta, and a black Challenge car. Heck, in the sport sessions on the track, I think I had the oldest car out there. I look forward to meeting you at a drive or cars and coffee in the near future. Congratulations on living the dream!
Congratulations Mark. Vas and I have followed one another with our 355's on a few drives in SoCal, so it won't be quite the same for me to see his F-Type in the rearview mirror. But I'm told that you are going to make a great addition to the Ferrari family. Wish you were a bit closer, but the Bay area is a perfect spot to stretch her legs. Enjoy buddy... Henry
Glad you are enjoying the F355. Henry... don't you usually see my taillights? Just kidding... I am going through withdrawal symptoms for the F355 but the F-type R's 550HP and 508 lb/ft torque keeps me smiling.
Thanks Butcher. Looking forward to meeting another F355 owner. I believe 8500rpm has one as well. Need to go for spirited drive soon. Thanks Henry for the kind words. It was nice meeting you all last September (from what I remember). I promised Vas I would attend a Stoogie event down south one day. I plan to make good on that...if you would have me.
Thank you sir! Nice pair yourself....no pun intended This is my 3rd E39 M5. I couldn't decide on a 4 door with a manual, that has 400HP for less than $20K. The M5 just kept pulling me back. They are great cars and the E39 is an instant classic (IMHO)
Thanks Vas. Don't worry she's not too far away and your always welcome to spend the weekend and take a long drive around the wineries out here.
